So Ugly they are cute! I think there are 4 - Check out those two tufts of hair. Pic by Rick - I'm too scared of Mama bird swooping down at you while you're close to her babies.

And Bart finally agreed that I needed my pool! He's been grumbling about the trouble it is - but
honestly he obsesses about keeping it clean more than he needs too. I'm happy, I can handle this weather now.

I was probably standing on the front porch during the worst of it - Duh! A tornado touched down by the Uni - dome and we are only about 3 miles west of there. Here's our worst damage - we are hard on glass topped patio furniture - this is the second one that shattered. I was trying to move it to the side of the house when it shattered. FROM THE WIND! Dad made the planter on the ground - It must weigh at least 100 lbs so it would take alot to knock it over. And Bart's a little mad about the cherry tree branch in his garden.

They were so pretty with the sun shining through them. These were last Thursday? Before the rain.

This is my dad - May of 1953 - On his honeymoon , Lake of the Ozarks - - How do I know that?
It's on the back of the pic! Photographer is - I'm assuming here - My Mom?!

A work in progress - It's supposed to be (will be) a toadstool. For us to use for pictures?!? In the neighbors yard - Ricks 1st attempt at sculpture with a chainsaw. Be afraid...

Or not? This is on the old "mandarin inn", downtown Waterloo. I love the wall but the neighborhood is a bit scary even at 9 am on a Sunday. Lots of shady men at the park across the street - What are they doing up that early? Or maybe they sleep there?

Barts garden in the early morning mist. He's pretty proud of his garden this year - mostly cuz it's doing better than Ricks, which got too much rain early on.

I didn't get the timing right - I was about a half-hour too late. These were taken about 6:30 am and I wanted the sun more centered. Oh well - I still made it to church on time but I slept in too long. Bart wasn't Snoring next to me, guess that's why I slept so good. For once.

This is Ricks invention to get the canoe to the river (lake, stream etc.). I think he's taking orders. Actually pretty cool huh?

Bart's trying to grow potatoes this year. Here is his first yield - the pen is for scale. Proud gardener!

Bart "let" the barnswallows put a nest above the light on the back patio. Rick stuck the camera up there for pics. I was afraid to do it. Actually they didn't turn out too bad. The birds were circling while he was taking pics - not too happy!
